~Eve

I am a stay at home mom of 2 amazing kids, a wife to an amazing husband, an animal lover and a photography addict.

What does photography mean to you?

Photography helps people remember, Its like a real life save button. Its the one thing we all have in common, we all want to capture memories.

So to me,  photography means memories and artistic expression.

When did you start pursuing Photography?

I started when I had my second child almost 2 years ago. I was given my first dslr which was a Pentax and I immediately wanted to learn as much as I could.
I signed up for a few online courses and that was the beginning of the end.

What motivates and inspires you?

Everything around me inspires me, its crazy.  I see things through a lens almost permanently now.
Light inspires me the most.  I am obsessed with light.  Its challenging to try and capture light in different and unique ways. I love it.
I also love wildlife, birds are my favorite.

Can you share with us some of your favorite images and why are they your favorites?

This is an image of my husband and our son.  I have been wanting to capture this for a couple of months now. I was beyond excited when I saw them snuggled up in the perfect light to get this shot. Its not often my 20 month old cooperates for photo sessions lol

This is one of my daughter.  She was running away from the sound of the fire alarm.  It was such a lucky capture and it is my favorite.

This image is of a pair of bluebirds that have been spending their spring and summer with us in our yard.  I have been lucky enough to have them come back for the third year in a row!!
We love them.  We can hear them singing every morning from our kitchen

What advice would you give another photography just starting up?

I was given great advice by a fellow photographer, and that was to always stay true to yourself.  Shoot what you want to shoot.  Don’t stress out over all the rules and  If you love an image, that’s all that matters.

Nikon or Canon? What len is always attached to it?

Nikon and my 50mm 1.8

Lightroom or Photoshop? Both?

Both but I mostly edit in lightroom
