A little about Lindsey

I am a stay at home wife and momma. I have one fur baby named Avery and my sweet light girl, Cami who just turned three on July 4th. And my husband and high school sweetheart that I have been married to for eight years. I have loved taking pictures since I was very young. I love capturing everyday moments that I know will never happen again. I also love taking pictures of the beauty in the world around us.

What does Photography mean to you?

Capturing moments that will never happen again. It’s a sentimental thing for me most of the time.

When did you start pursuing photography?

I got my first point and shoot camera when I was about 12 years old and my love for taking pictures only grew from there.

What motivates and inspires you?

My family motivates me to capture those special moments. I get inspired by so many of the awesome talent that I follow and have began to grow friendships with through the photography community.

Can you share with us a few of your favorite images and why you love them so?

It was my very first silhouette and the sky was so awesome that night!

Cami playing in the sprinkler. It means a lot to me because this was her first time playing in a sprinkler and she had so much fun!

The beach is my happy place. I happened to snap this picture while we were on vacation last summer and it is one of my favorites because it’s of the beach and I’m such a sucker for a beautiful sky.

This flower grows in our garden every year. I love the effect and coloring that I was able to get of it. I love taking pictures of nature.

What advice would you give another photographer just starting up?

take your time! I’m completely self taught and still learning but practice doesn’t make perfect, it just helps you get better and better. Find some awesome people in the photography community and ask questions, seek inspiration and love what you do. Only compare yourself to yourself and see how much you improve over time.

Nikon or Canon? What lens is always attached?

I’m a Nikon girl! I love my 50mm and it’s always attached to my camera.

Lightroom or Photoshop? Both?
