Can’t wait to see what you all make of this theme!

A little about Meagan

I’m Meagan the face behind Meagan Nelson Photography. I’m a mom to a 5 year old, & 9 month old and wife to an amazing husband.  I started my photography adventure a little over a year ago, and have been enjoying the ride since. I believe everything deserves to be remembered, and a emotions trump technicalities any day. I enjoy photographing the world through children’s eyes, and love to capture their laughter, silliness & squirms.

What does photography mean to you?

Photography, like many other artists is something I am very passionate about. It allows me to freeze moments in time, I wouldn’t be able to capture otherwise.

When did you start pursuing photography?

I suppose I’ve always been into photography, I bought my first DSLR 5 years ago when my son was born and started pursuing a career February 2014.

What motivates and inspires you?

Hands down, my children.

Can you share with us a few of your favorite images and why you love them so?

I chose these 3 images, because they are a reflection of who I want to be as a photographer. I want to capture the dreams/imagination of little ones and think these photographs execute just that.

What advice would you give another photographer just starting up?

Your journey is your own. Don’t compare yourself to other photographers, and work on mastering your own craft and making your own magic.

Nikon or Canon? What lens is always attached?

I’m a Canon girl all the way, and I shoot mostly with my nifty fify.

Lightroom or Photoshop? Both?
